Will's rhyming poem


Will wrote a funny poem about a Tasmanian devil. I like the way he used the word trotting instead of walking.

Exploring Plants at inquiry time

We are learning about living things this term. We did an experiment to help us learn more about the parts of a plant and what plants need to survive.

Will's amazing cello performance

Will has been learning how to play the cello since Term 2 this year. He really enjoys playing the cello and often talks about it or writes about it! Our class was very lucky to have Will give us a performance of his favourite piece of music. Click on the video to enjoy his lovely music.

Charlotte's Web is our next class novel!

We finished Babe and have been enjoying watching the movie to see the differences and similarities between the books.

Our next options were Crumbs by Emily Rodda, Charlotte's Web by E. B. White and Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers.

Charlotte's Web got the most votes!

We can't wait to get started!

Liam J's interesting powerpoint about his dog!

For oral language the students had to talk about thier favouite animal. Liam talked about his dog. He made a great powerpoint slideshow to go with his speech. We were very impressed that he put his information into his own words.

CC hopped in for a visit!

At news time today Jade brought in her new pet rabbit called CC. Jade told us lots of interesting information about how she looks after her rabbit. Jade is very good at looking after her rabbit!

We were very lucky today because we got to go on a special trip to meet the author and illustrator David Legge. 

We learnt lots of interesting things about drawing and how books are made.

Building Patterns with blocks


Today we were exploring area in maths. We had fun building patterns with blocks from the plans Mrs Watson gave us.

We have been working very hard to plan our menu for the fairy tale ball. 

The planning group were using these cookbooks to brainstorm ideas. 

We even started our shopping list!

Today we began our science unit about resources. We went outside to search for different kinds of resources that we use every day. We recorded our data like scientists do!

Yay! Today we started our maths groups!

We started our new maths rotation today. We got to explore all the fun maths games in our group boxes. We are working on making sure we use quiet voices in our groups.

We love musical Tuesdays!

On Tuesdays we have Mrs Wither for music. Today we were using tamborines, bells, triangles and lots of other instruments. Mrs Watson got to listen to us at the end. She thinks we played pretty well!


Wonderful peer feedback at writing time!


Today after we had finished our morning writing we read our stories to a friend. They were looking for full stops, capital letters, five sentences and really exciting words. We helped each other make our writing even better!
