It has arrived!

Look what was in the mail when I got home! I am really looking forward to seeing what is the same as the book and what is different. 

I wonder if our visualisations will be similar or different to how the movie director saw it...

Making words

The Happy Hippos and Excellent Elephants reading groups had lots of fun making words on the whiteboard at reading time. What words can you read?

We love musical Tuesdays!

On Tuesdays we have Mrs Wither for music. Today we were using tamborines, bells, triangles and lots of other instruments. Mrs Watson got to listen to us at the end. She thinks we played pretty well!

Wonderful peer feedback at writing time!

Today after we had finished our morning writing we read our stories to a friend. They were looking for full stops, capital letters, five sentences and really exciting words. We helped each other make our writing even better!

Some children are reading poetry, some are reading big books, others are practicing spelling words. All while Mrs Watson is taking a reading group.

Soggy athletics!

We had a great athletics carnival today. The rain didn't hold off but we still had a great day!
