Brooke's funny 5W poem

Brooke wrote this poem to get the reader to laugh.

I like that this poem's ending is not what I expected. It gave me a funny surprise!

Exploring Plants at inquiry time

We are learning about living things this term. We did an experiment to help us learn more about the parts of a plant and what plants need to survive.

Here are some photos of us using our scientific skills of observation to look closely at what makes up a plant.

First we predicted what we thought would happen during the experiment.

Charlotte's Web is our next class novel!

We finished Babe and have been enjoying watching the movie to see the differences and similarities between the books.

Our next options were Crumbs by Emily Rodda, Charlotte's Web by E. B. White and Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers.

Charlotte's Web got the most votes!

We can't wait to get started!

Our fantastic author visit!

We were very lucky today because we got to go on a special trip to meet the author and illustrator David Legge.
